Wildfire Mitigation
Wildfire mitigation is something the District of Logan Lake takes very seriously. Logan Lake is surrounded by forest, including large tracts of land heavily affected by the Mountain Pine Beetle. Ensuring that pre-emptive steps are taken to protect Logan Lake from the threat of wildfire has been a high priority in Logan Lake for some time. Logan Lake is now an excellent example of best practices when it comes to wildfire mitigation.
If you have any questions regarding the Community Wildfire Protection Plan please contact Fire Chief Dan Leighton at dleighton@loganlake.ca or by phone at 250.523.2315 ext. 101.
The District of Logan Lake has a comprehensive wildfire protection plan, watch 'in our defence' to learn more.
