Utilities

DISTRICT UTILITIES:

Sanitary Sewer

The District uses primary treatment to dispose of sewage. The system involves a combination of aerated lagoons that flow into rapid filtration ponds. The system has a capacity of 1,500 cubic metres per day and can serve approximately 4,000 people.

Water System

Logan Lake acquires its pristine water from a series of deep wells. The system has a capacity limit of 3,650 people. The water is not treated as it naturally meets the Canadian Drinking Water Standards; and the Department of Health in Kamloops tests the water on a weekly basis.

2011 Water Regulations
