Council Highlights - May 1, 2012

  1. Council announced the winners of the Winter Photo Contest.  The winners were Eric Verguson 1st, Nancy Daigle 2nd, and Linda Broughton 3rd;
  2. Council approved the use of the gazebo in Maggs Park by the Logan Lake Lions Club for the "Annual Walk for Dog Guides" on June 10, 2012;
  3. Council approved $500 to be used by the Communities in Bloom Working Group to build a "Welcome" flower bed in Maggs Park;
  4. Council authorized a Public Hearing to be held to amend the P2 Zone (Public Utilities and Services) to allow Logan Lake Search and Rescue to build a storage building on leased property at the Works Yard;
  5. Council authorized the use of a Request for Proposal to get expressions of interest from companies to do a Business Case for a Bio-Energy District Heating System.
